How did you get started?

Growing up I was highly involved in a variety of sports, but dropped out after high school. My life became overwhelming with work and post-secondary and I just had no time for team sports. A few years had passed and I found that I was missing the physical activity aspect of my life. I joined a local kickboxing gym where one of the owners had introduced me to a prep coach. Shortly after meeting I competed in my first bodybuilding show 14 weeks later placing 2nd. I was on top of the world, excited with self-accomplishment. The process wasn’t easy but every obstacle I encountered and overcame along the way leading to that moment was worth it. I couldn’t wait to start another prep.

What motivates you to keep going and push harder?

I love the feeling I get when I accomplish my short term goals throughout my prep leading up to stepping on stage. Every week I enjoy challenging myself to push my physique and mentality to new limits.

"How do you find having a meal prep service make all your food"

Competing and being a full time student takes up a majority of my time. Since Muscle Food has been prepping my meals I have been able to spend more quality time with friends and family. In addition, Muscle Food has allowed me to focus more on my studies while staying on track with my training goals. Muscle Food gives me one less thing I have to stress about during my hectic week.

What is your current training philosophy? How often do you change your training?

My training routines change every 2 weeks which helps keep me staying motivated. My weekly workouts include a variety of training splits that helps me develop strength, power, and endurance.

What is your approach to nutrition?

My approach to nutrition includes a variety of quality healthy foods that incorporates a balanced portion of fats, proteins and carbohydrates. A healthy diet needs to be sustainable in order to achieve your fitness goals.

How many calories do you consume in a day?

Ranges from 1100-2000 calories to accommodate my training phases: Building, maintaining and cutting.

Do you bulk and cut or stay lean year round?

Within the first few years of bodybuilding I went through bulking seasons to add muscle mass to my physique. After developing the muscle mass to be successful in my category I now focus more on refining my physique which allows me to stay on the leaner side between shows.

What does your supplementation look like?

For my supplementation I incorporate Mutant products to provide me with the nutrients I need to make rapid gains, lean muscle mass, strength and power
Morning + Evening: Calcium, Vitamin D, L-Carnitine, Omega 3, CoQ10, Multi-Vitamin, Vitamin C, L-Tyrosine
Pre-Gym: Glutamine, L-Carnitine, Taurine, DAA, Pre Workout stack with Mutant Pump

What has been your biggest accomplishment in the fitness field?

Obtaining my IFBB Pro card.
